Venue

Getting in Curitiba International Airport
International and domestic flights arrive at Afonso Pena International Airport located 20km from downtown. The Curitiba International Airport (Afonso Pena Intenational Airport - CWB). Once you leave the luggage room you can find several ATM Machines at the airport lobby as well as some Exchanging Bureaus.

Airport Transfer
 The transportation services from the Curitiba International Airport to downtown are:

  • Shuttle Bus : A convenient bus service with air conditioning and TV set from the airport to the downtown (link in Portuguese). The ones who will take this line are able to ask the bus driver to stop in front of Grand Hotel Rayon (at Rua vinte e quatro horas = 24 Hours Street). The ticket of this line costs R$6 (~US$3) and can be purchased at the airport or with the bus driver. It is scheduled to leave on each 20 minutes.
  • Taxi: From the airport to downtown. It costs about R$60 (~US$30). Taxi drives and bus personel at Curitiba only accept Brazilian currency in cash.
  • Public Transportation: From the airport to downtown from each 25 min there is a Bus called "Ligeirinho", a grey bus which costs about R$2 (~US1).

Conference Venue (PUCPR)
The conference will be held at the PUCPR campus in Curitiba. The Pontifical Catholic University of Parana (PUCPR) is one of three largest universities in the city with 22 thousand students. The facilities available at the campus are:

  • one auditorium for 575 persons
  • two auditoriums for 265 and 235 persons
  • two auditoriums for 117 and 165 persons
  • two meeting rooms (60 persons each)
  • free internet access for attendees
  • three hall for posters & demos
  • HSBC Bank branch with ATMs (Cirrus, Maestro, Plus)
  • Travel agents
  • Free parking
  • Restaurants and snack bars on site
 

During the conference, a shuttle service between both hotels and PUCPR, where the conference will be held, will be available. The taxi fare between both hotels and PUCPR is about R$15 (~US$8).

Promotional Video
